Trinidad Cigars are A post-revolution Brand

According to some, Trinidad cigars was created about 1969. It was only used as an official gift from the Republic of Cuba in specially-made boxes of 25 or 50 cigars. It was introduced to the export market in February 1998 at a gala dinner at the Havana Libre hotel in Havana. A salute to the Cuban city of Trinidad, founded in 1514 and celebrated for its unique architecture, the brand's blend is reportedly the same as before and the flavor is considered medium. Both the gift-Trinidads and the commercial Trinidads originated at the El Laguito factory and the original size ( Fundadores) was offered in elegant boxes of 24 or 50. The coloniales, Robusto Extra and Reyes were added in November 2003.
