Freddie Fox Museum
Welcome to our Freddie Fox Cigar Museum. Our wonderful museum is of course located in our World Famous Shop on St James’s Street, London est 1787.
London is arguably the cigar capital of the world and Robert Lewis is certainly the longest established cigar merchant in London- and, probably, the United Kingdom. So now we at 19 St James’s Street, with modest 220 plus year tradition safely tucked under our corporate belt, can happily afford to plead guilty to a couple of the perhaps not-quite-so-deadly sins: Pride and Prejudice.
It is our pride – and we are, incidentally, immensely proud of it – to offer for sale not simply fine, but the very finest cigars, tobaccos and other smoking impedimenta; and to number among our clientele dustmen as well as dukes, clubmen and ancient livery companies and some of the most celebrated names in British and American industry..... as well as the long – distance lorry driver who regularly parks his vehicle on the yellow line outside the shop while he slips inside for yet another box of his favourite smokes.
And of course we are prejudiced! On the one hand we abhor the ersatz and the shoddy, the catchpenny and the plain crass; on the other we delight in maintaining the tradition of personal service established by our predecessors. In other words, while we remain unashamedly ‘Old fashioned’, we still manage to keep our eyes open and our ideas up to date.
