Earl Grey
1851-1917

Earl Grey was a British diplomat who served as Governer General of Canada from 1904 to 1911. On his return to England he served as Foriegn Secretary in the Build up to World War I. He was a highly vocal member of the Coefficients Club which argued for expansion of the British empire and was instrumental in persuading the rest of the cabinet of the legitimacy of pursuing the war against Germany.
