Following Habanos S.A’s announcement at the 21st Festival del Habanos in 2019 of three new vitolas destined to join the standard range of the stylish Trinidad brand (Topes, Media Luna & Esmeralda), the Esmeralda is the last of the three to finally arrive in the UK.

The name Trinidad is a tribute to the settlement called Santísima Trinidad on the southern coast of Cuba, which was built in the 16th century and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The origins of Trinidad as a Habanos brand date back to 1969, and for many years, much like the Cohiba brand, it was used exclusively as a gift from the Cuban State to senior dignitaries from overseas. Later, in 1998, this brand was made available to smokers all over the world, but even then in very limited quantities.

The Esmeralda, measuring 5 ¾” (145 mm) x 53 ring gauge is named after one of Trinidad’s most famous streets and as with previous vitolas is presented in the brand's classic Semi Boîte Nature (SBN) varnished box containing 12 cigars.

This new cigar has been rolled to Trinidad's classic blend of medium strength and creamy aromatic smoke. It has been made "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga"- Totally Handmade with Long Filler - after a careful selection of filler, binder and wrapper leaves from the best tobacco-growing plantation in the Vuelta Abajo area in Pinar del Río province, Cuba

For all cigars we advise that they are stored in a humidor at approximately 18°C and between 65-70% relative humidity.
If no humidor is available, we would recommend a plastic zip-lock bag with a small spray of distilled water. This will keep the cigars fresh for up to three months.
