La Flor de Cano was created in 1932 when Juan Cano Sainz and his wife Consuela decided to hire the services of a cigar roller to make cigars, literally, on their kitchen table.
The brand has gone through several different phases in the ensuing 90 years or so, including a period of being machine made. Happily, today all La Flor de Cano are all handmade, using tripa corta (short filler) leaf sourced from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta tobacco growing regions of Cuba.
The inclusion of Semi Vuelta tobacco in the blend creates a distinct flavour within the Habanos portfolio and showcases the diversity of tastes available from fine Cuban tobacco.
