The James J. Fox Seleccion is comprised of three sizes and they are all handmade using long filler tobacco leaf, in the Danli Cigar Factory, Honduras. Honduran tobacco is predominant in the blend, with a small quantity of Nicaraguan lead included to provide depth and body.
The presentation is inspired by the tradition James J. Fox had for developing bespoke lines in partnership with some of the grand marques of Havana, This is a tradition that began in the 19th century and only concluded in the 1980s.
This new line has been developed in a collaborative undertaking involving the Fox teams in London and Dublin. The process took over two years to complete. In this case, the historically evocative phrase "specially selected by James J Fox London & Dublin" stamped on each every box seems entirely appropriate and well earned.
With a 54 ring gauge the Selección No.7 effortlessly provide copious amounts of nuanced and layered smoke. The Honduran tobacco is perfectly complimented by the addition of some rich Nicaraguan leaf. A cigar to savour during the hour or so of smoking pleasure that it supplies.
