Tatuaje, a premium cigar brand founded by the renowned blender Pete Johnson, has steadily gained well-deserved recognition within the cigar industry. With each new collection, the brand continues to grow in popularity and reputation.
Established in 2003, Tatuaje—Spanish for “tattoo”—takes its name from Johnson’s personal affinity for tattoos. Many of the brand’s most acclaimed cigars are produced at the My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, often utilising their high-quality tobaccos.
Tatuaje distinguishes itself through a commitment to innovation and experimentation of blends. This approach is evident in the diverse flavour profiles across its portfolio, ranging from the more traditional, Cuban-inspired Cabaiguan line to the richer, fuller-bodied RC2 Series.
RC Series
Tatuaje RC (Retro Cuba) Series No.2 is a release solely for the international market. Fonder of Tatuaje, Pete Johnson, explains, “There’s already a lot of stuff in the US that you can’t get in Europe for instance, so I figured it would be nice to go with something unique for the international market”. Rolled in the exemplary setting of the My Father factory, the RC2 is rolled with Nicaraguan tobacco for filler and binder with an Ecuadorian wrapper.

For all cigars we advise that they are stored in a humidor at no higher than 21°C and between 65-70% relative humidity. If no humidor is available, we would recommend a plastic zip-lock bag with a small spray of distilled water. This will keep the cigars fresh for up to three months.
