The name Vegueros translates into English as ‘Farmers’ and these cigars were created in tribute to the countless generations of men and women who have cultivated tobacco in the world famous fields of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
They were originally introduced to the market in 1996 but relaunched in 2013with a new medium-to-full bodied blend, new sizes and unique tins of 16 cigars.
The names of the cigars within the range are taken from the agricultural lexicon of the Cuban tobacco farmers and today all of their cigars are rolled at the "Francisco Donatien" factory, in the heart of Pinar del Rio city.
All sizes of Vegueros are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano,’ – long filler, totally handmade.
The Centrogordos is the shortest and widest Vegueros cigar in the portfolio. It is a format ideally suited to bring out the intense and unique character of this blend. They are well-balanced, well-constructed and provide around 25 minutes of smoking time.
The word Centrogordos refers to the second highest layer of leaves on the sun grown tobacco plants, just below the Coronas. These leaves are prized for their rich and powerful character.

For all cigars we advise that they are stored in a humidor at no higher than 21°C and between 65-70% relative humidity. If no humidor is available, we would recommend a plastic zip-lock bag with a small spray of distilled water. This will keep the cigars fresh for up to three months.
