Craigellachie Whisky Launch Cigar Pairing - Tuesday 24th June

It will be our pleasure to host an exclusive cigar and whisky pairing event which will feature the launch of a new aged cask expression Single Malt for Craigellachie and a staple cigar from Davidoff.

Craigellachie are a part of Bacardi’s whisky portfolio, with their other single malt distilleries being Royal Brackla, Aberfeldy and Aultmore, along with the historic Dewars whisky. Working with JPHA we will be hosting the event to offer whisky enthusiasts the opportunity to be amongst the first people to try the 29-year-old whisky, a new addition to Craigellachie’s exceptional cask series.

The whisky will be paired with a cigar from the highly revered Davidoff Late Hour range. We’ve decided to go for the Robusto because the flavours are bold through a maturation process which sees the tobacco rest in whisky casks for 6 months. This will enhance a great contrast between the initial depth of earthy sweetness of the Late Hour with a whisky which, despite being 52.5% ABV, has detectable sweet base notes of pineapple, vanilla and baking spices.

We will be joined by Davidoff UK & Ireland Market Manager Roy Sommer to discuss the Yamasa Piramides on the evening. We will be also joined by a Bacardi Malts Brand Ambassador to introduce the whisky to guests. We will also be having a dram of some of the other expressions, including the award winning 17. We will also have the familiar faces of a couple friends of ours, Bacardi’s UK Business Development Manager, David Behan and JPHA founder James Pham who will also be ready to talk all things whisky.
