James J. Fox Meets The World of Cognac 2026 - Wednesday 1st April 6:30pm

An event of which we have become enjoyably accustomed to in recent years and, as each year goes by, we are even more excited in anticipation than the previous year. We are delighted to welcome illustrious wine and spirit expert Dawn Davies MW on the evening of Wednesday 1^st April for a night which will revolve around the world of Cognac and cigars. Guests will be tasting several cognacs which will be selected by Dawn ahead of the evening, with guests sampling two cigars – one Cuban and one new world. 

Cognac has long become one of the more typical pairings with cigars, particularly in the UK. Perhaps because it had become emblematic during Sir Winston Churchuill’s tenure as prime minister, that we take inspiration in the pairing. From the bold fruits of some cognacs to the spice and woodiness of others, creating contrast and parallels respectively, the profile of this French spirit delivers for a great accompaniment for a cigar. 

There is considerably more to cognac than just it’s ability to combine with a premium hand-rolled cigar. The Whisky Exchange will explain all as they host The Cognac Show 2026 on Friday 17^th and Saturday 18^th April at Glaziers Hall, London.

Now in its seventh year, this award-winning show brings together connoisseurs and the curious with the most distinguishes distillers and blenders in Cognac. As well as the region’s great and venerable houses, we also host small producers and selected names from our guest categories, Calvados and Armagnac.
