The Whisky Exchange Presents: Cognacs and Cigar Pairing
When was the last time you spent a 29th February doing something truly memorable? The fact we are given an extra day in the year every four years should be seen as a sort of blessing. 2024 is a leap year and it lands on a Thursday (our favourite evening of the week), so it is only fitting to celebrate this irregular occurrence with a James J Fox Sampling Event.
The blessing we present for the evening is the collaboration with luxury spirits savant Dawn Davies and The Whisky Exchange. Joining us and Dawn will be Jimmy McGhee from Hunters and Frankau, as we bring in two superstars for a discussion of cigars and cognac. Well, to be specific: cognac, armagnac and calvados…
Ahead of The Whisky Exchange’s annual Cognac Show, taking place Friday 23rd March and Saturday 24th March we explore the differences between the three spirits and why they pair so well with cigars.
We've now changed the cigar from Quai d'Orsay No.54 to have two cigars on the evening. We will now pair the spirits with Quai d'Orsay No.50 and a Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleur
The Cognac Show gives consumers a rare opportunity to sample hundreds of cognacs as well as further learning about the spirits of France by talking to brand ambassadors and masterclasses.
