Transcontinental Cigar & Rum Sampling Event - 23rd October 2025

One of our favourite cigars from one of our favourite Honduran brands, Oscar Valladares. The cigars are rolled with aged Honduran tobacco for the long fillers and binder, tucked under a quality Ecuador Sumatra wrapper for a fantastically balanced medium-bodied cigar. These cigars are a great example for what the best of Honduran tobaccos have to offer. Joining us to talk about the cigars will be the team from Bright Leaf Distribution. We will be pairing the cigar with a very interesting Rum brand, Transcontinental Rum Line. Transcontinental Rum Line is inspired by the trade and great voyages of rum between the country of production and its maturation conditions. The origin of distillation and maturation environment all play a part in the story of these great rums; TCRL seeks to celebrate the stylistic diversity and vast spectrum of flavours and aromas that lie within the rum category, selecting rums that are shining examples of the style of their origin. We will be pairing the cigar with three expressions from the Caribbean and Central America - Panama, Jamaica & the French West Indies. Dean McGregor, Rum Ambassador from Speciality Brands will be joining us to talk about the rums and brand.
