Ramon Allones Absolutos (Edicion Limitada 2024)
On Monday 10th November the UK cigar industry welcomed the EMS release of the Habanos Ramon Allones Absolutos (6 3/8 (156mm) x 49). The Absolutos is the final of the 2024 Edicion Limitada to be released in the UK following the Trinidad Cabildos and H.Upmann Magnum Finite.
The Ramon Allones brand has been selected on three previous occasions to construct a cigar for the prestigious Limited Edition (Edición Limitada) series – Allones Extra (2011), Club Allones (2015) and Allones No. 2 (2019). All three have become highly coveted in recent years by enthusiasts and collectors because they are some of the best to be released by Habanos.

The vitola de galera is referred to as a Nuevos in the cigar factories of Cuba – the first of its kind rolled in this size. The rich intense aromas typically associated with the Ramon Allones blend are softened and rounded by the extra ageing of all the leaves used for Habanos Limited Edition cigars for a minimum of two years. However, what we have found with the Absolutos is that they have a very dark, matte wrapper – not quite maduro levels, but close – for which we will have no doubt will contribute to delivering a great richness of flavour. The cigars are presented in beautiful matte-finished box carrying 20 cigars, adorning the current uniform band for Ramon Allones and the gold Edicion Limitada 2024.
Ramon Allones is one of the oldest Cuban cigar brands still in production today. Established in 1837, they have long standing connections to Hunters & Frankau who have turned to the brand on numerous occasions to commemorate special moments or celebrate important milestones.
We expect more boxes to become available over the next few weeks. Please sign up to receive availability alerts for Ramon Allones Absolutos.
Absolutos & The Ashes Cigar Pairing Event
Below is our Instagram post with images from our “Absolutos & The Ashes” pairing event from Thursday 13th November. The Ashes is a double entendre, referring to, of course, the enjoyment in smoking the cigar, but if course to the historic Cricket rivalry between England & Australia. To express that competitiveness on the evening we invited Nyetimber of England and House of Arras of Australia (Tasmania to be precise) to bring two outstanding expressions of their wine making to pair with the cigar on the evening. A special thanks to Hunters & Frankau’s Sales & Marketing Director Sean Croley for introducing the cigar to guests on the evening. We also extend our thanks to Nyetimber and House of Arras Brand Ambassadors, Charles Lowe and Toby Spires, for a wonderfully engaging preview to both wine brands.
